Eppendorfer Baum 10 100-year-old apartment block

Eppendorfer Baum owes its street name to an avenue built in 1828 running from Dammtor through Rothenbaum to Eppendorf. Users had to pay a toll here until 1865.

The “Eppendorfer Baum” street name was born in 1884, based on a tollgate which would block the way until the toll was paid.

Description

More than 100 years old, this apartment block still boasts a number of lovely style elements, most of which have been well preserved and lend charm to the building.

There are 14 residential units, as well as a shop on the ground floor, which has been leased by the Lindner delicatessen for almost 20 years. Hidden away in the backyard, along with the only large car park in the area with over 70 parking bays, is a small green oasis with apple trees – the perfect place to relax.
